ARI’S THOUGHTS

I consistently recommend Cynosure to my clients. Not only does Cynosure make a great machine, but also this is one of the most popular brands on the market. Cynosure offers lasers that treat very diverse issues and they have a great reputation, having been made for over 12 years.

One thing I love about the Cynosure is that it doesn’t require much in the way of consumables. It is possible to find parts on the second hand market and the machine is very easy to service.

Further, Cynosures are so reliable that they require less servicing. Unlike some other systems like Alma and Cutera, all the servicing can be conveniently handled in the second hand market, which saves customers time and money.

Another great aspect of the Cynosure is that it tends to be less painful for patients and treatment is quite fast. There is a separate chiller that attaches to the hand piece and blows cool air before and after the hair is removed.

When it comes to the Cynosure, I like to point out that it is perfectly ok to own or rent an older model. What you get today is essentially the same machine that has been made since 2004. The only difference is that the name and design have changed.

What kinds of professionals are happiest with the Cynosure?

Clinics that need to offer treatments to both dark and light skin types will be quite happy they selected the Cynosure. Since it has a dual head offering Alexandrite and YAG, it works well for a range of skin types.

What Do You Need To Know Before You Purchase a Cynosure Machine?

You’ll know that you are getting a good deal on this laser if you find one that has a low shot count and good voltage.  Check the voltage to ensure it has reasonable voltage for maximum energy.

While the Cynosure requires far fewer repairs, the ones that we see the most include calibration issues, broken fibers and occasionally water flow errors. You’ll also have to expect that you will need to change the lamp at some point.

We estimate that you should budget between 4k-6k per year for maintenance on a Cynosure. You will need to budget for windows, but the good news is that they are very inexpensive.

There are no other consumables and this factor greatly increases the profits our clients can generate when they select a Cynosure.
